Eanna Hardwicke

Éanna Hardwicke is set to star in an exciting new Irish thriller alongside none other than actor Eddie Marsan.

Inspired by true events from Belfast in December 2004, No Ordinary Heist weaves a gripping fictional tale of two bank employees thrust into a chilling scheme.

Forced to orchestrate a £26.5 million robbery to save their families, they are made to execute the crime without the gang ever stepping foot inside the bank.

Sounds thrilling, indeed!

The film will be directed by Colin McIvor (ZOO) and co-written by McIvor and debut screenwriter Aisling Corristine.

While filming is expected to begin in January across both Dublin and January.

So be on the lookout folks!

Speaking about the film, director Colin McIvor said: “For Aisling and I, it was always the human story behind this truly extraordinary, complex and terrifying event that appealed, and the fact it all played out on my doorstep, only added to that cinematic appeal.

“And so, having been inspired, we set out to use this event as the basis for our fictionalised drama.”

Éanna can also be seen on our screen this Christmas in BBC Two’s A Ghost Story for Christmas: Woman of Stone which will air on Christmas Eve.

The story recounts the chilling tale of newlywed Victorians Jack (Hardwicke) and Laura (Phoebe Horn) after settling into a small cottage in a quiet village when their idyll is overshadowed by the superstitious warnings of their housekeeper, Mrs Dorman and the legend of the village church’s tomb effigies – a pair of marble knights who are said to rise from their slabs on Christmas Eve…”

Safe to say, we will be watching!
