Eamonn Holmes has shared a rare glimpse of his big day to mark his 9th wedding anniversary with Ruth Langsford
The happy couple tied the knot in Hampshire on June 26th, 2010, surrounded by close friends and family.
Sharing a loved-up snap of the pair on their big day, and remembering the joyous occasion, Eamonn said, “It was the hottest day of the year.
“We can’t celebrate our anniversary today, but we can still remember Julia in the best way, as one of our bridesmaids, smiling, dancing and singing.”
Eamonn was referring to Ruth’s sister, who sadly passed away last week after a lengthy illness.
The ITV star took to social media to share an emotional tribute following her death.
“My heart is completely broken. She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever.”
While Ruth took some time off to grieve, Eamonn continued to present This Morning without his wife.
Becoming visibly emotional on air last week, he thanked viewers for their support – plus close pal, Rylan Clark.
“No-one understands more than our friend and our colleague Rylan, who has been a great comfort to Ruth and a great help by stepping in today for her.
“Rylan was the first person we phoned when we heard this news, and you are a great support to Ruth in all of this.”
The former X Factor star shared his condolences with the pair, saying: “We know Ruth’s watching and we’re sending you all our love, we love you dearly.
Turning to Eamonn, he continued, “Ruth’s going to need time to deal with this, and so are you, for that matter.”
