Eamonn Holmes has landed an unexpected new role working on a childrens’ tv show.
The presenter has signed up to voice new CBeebies show Biggleton. He will not only be narrating the show, but singing on it too.
The This Morning host admitted that he was surprised to be asked to take on the role.
“I will be saying things like, ‘It was a cloudy day in Biggleton’” he explained to the Sun.
“I am totally surprised. I mean why come to me? And they want me to sing.”
The animated show’s first series will be 25 episodes.
Eamonn added that he was not prepared for his audition.
“My audition was to sing Nellie The Elephant but I don’t know the words.
“This is me all over. I don’t know if it is fantastic but I would be lying to you if I did not say I was tickled.”
Eamonn took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
“This news is so big, I can’t fit it on the one page!” he said.
We reckon he’s the perfect person for this surprising new role.
