Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford revealed that they shared their first kiss at a poplar Dublin nightclub.
The tv couple, who’ve been married for seven years, appeared on The Late Late Show last night for a chat with Ryan, and they ended up dishing all the details about their first kiss, which took place in celebrity hotspot Lillie’s Bordello – while they were on a work trip to Ireland with GMTV.
“Ruth had been trying to get off with me for ages and I went in for the kill and you didn’t resist so, I took that as a thumbs up.” Eamonn said.
“It was actually a little peck,” Ruth added. “I was helping him get drinks for everyone at the bar in Lillie’s and he gave me a kiss on the lips – and it was the start of something beautiful.
“So, we have a special place in our hearts for Dublin.”
However, Eamonn admitted that before meeting Ruth, he was very isolated and his life revolved around work.
“I was in a very lonely place, which was strange because my career was at its peak but it was all work and there was really nothing else to it,” Eamonn said.
“I thought Ruth would be this ideal woman as she works in the same industry – it would be great to have someone like-minded. Then we realised that we approach our jobs in very different ways. In the sense that I take work quite seriously and take it home with me, where as Ruth leaves work at work.”
“I love my job and I take it seriously and I work hard but I like to separate the two.” Ruth said.
