Barretstown celebrated 30 years with a special charity luncheon at the K Club this week.
Guests enjoyed an afternoon of style, horse-racing insight and entertainment at the Horse Racing Summer Season Luncheon, hosted by Glenda Gilson.
Barretstown was founded by actor Paul Newman in 1994, and has for 30 years provided therapeutic camps and programmes for children affected by cancer and other serious illnesses.
To celebrate the charity’s birthday – and raise some much needed funds for the cause – guests enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch with wines sponsored by Irish Distillers.
The ‘Style for the Season’ fashion show by Kildare Village followed, and then a panel discussion between horse trainer Lorna Fowler, renowned Irish horse trainer Jessica Harrington, racehorse owner Eleanora Kennedy, and retired Irish jockey turned TV Presenter Fran Berry.
Finally, tenor Paul Byrom entertained guests after dessert was served.
Over all, €60,000 was raised for Barretstown. You can check out some of the social pics below.
