It’s the week we’ve all been waiting for…yes, Orchestra Night is finally here!
Tonight, the remaining seven couples on Dancing with the Stars will showcase their best moves, performing their routines live, with the incredible RTÉ Concert Orchestra providing the perfect soundtrack in the studio.
With a night filled with unforgettable performances and every couple battling to secure their spot for next week, the competition is still all to play for.
Here’s how they all got on…
Kayleigh Trappe and Ervinas Merfeldas

Social media sensation Kayleigh Trappe and her professional dance partner Ervinas Merfeldas were first to take to the floor tonight, aiming to top their personal best from last week with a Charleston to Lady Gaga’s rendition of That’s Entertainment.
“Fabulous opening,” stated head judge Loraine Barry.
And Karen Byrne was in full agreement, noting: “The swivels were absolutely brilliant and I thought you done a great job.”
Her performance earned her a total of 32 points after receiving an eight from all four judges.
Danny O’Carroll and Salome Chachua

Mrs. Brown’s Boys actor Danny O’Carroll and his pro partner Salome Chachua brought the heat next with a Salsa to Lionel Richie’s All Night Long.
“Oh Danny, I could watch you dancing all night long,” stated Arthur Gourounlian. “It was infectious dynamic, I loved it.”
And Brian Redmond agreed, adding: “The technique was there, the energy was there. You’re starting to become a real contender.”
Danny received a total of 33 points, earning an eight from Brian, Karen, and Loraine along with a nine from Arthur.
Kevin Dundon and Rebecca Scott

Despite being at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard last week, chef Kevin Dundon and his dance partner Rebecca Scott made their mark on Orchestra Night with a Foxtrot to Livin’ Thing by Electric Light Orchestra.
“Kevin, you come out here and you’re improving every week. So you belong to be here,” Karen shared.
While Loraine had her own praise, adding: “For me, you had some magical moments.”
Kevin received sixes all-round resulting in a total of 24 points.
Jack Woolley and Alex Vladimirov

Following on from earning the first perfect score of the season last week, Taekwondo athlete Jack Woolley and his partner Alex Vladimirov brought the party to the dancefloor with an energetic Samba to the Ricky Martin hit, The Cup of Life.
“It was authentic, full of life and such a very high-energy dance from the very first beat,” noted Arthur.
Meanwhile, Brian was out of breath just watching his performance, adding: “That level of energy and control contained in difficult shapes is very hard to achieve.”
Jack was awarded three nines from Brian, Karen and Loraine followed by an impressive 10 from Arthur resulting in a total of 37 points.
Aishah Akorede and Robert Rowiński

Having faced back-to-back dance-offs over the last two weeks, former Miss Universe Ireland Aishah Akorede came back fighting when she and her dance partner, Robert Rowiński took on an American Smooth to Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles.
“Aishah, just like you that was absolutely beautiful. It truly was American smooth,” stated Loraine.
And Karen couldn’t agree more, adding: “Everything was seamless.”
Her performance earned her a total of 36 points after receiving an eight from Brian, nine from Karen and Loraine followed by a ten from Arthur.
Rhys McClenaghan and Laura Nolan

Olympic champion Rhys McClenaghan and his professional partner Laura Nolan captivated the audience with their Contemporary Ballroom routine, performing to The Verve’s iconic anthem Bittersweet Symphony.
“That was truly captivating for me,” shared Arthur. “You were flowing. Your lifts were seamless and you guys delivered.”
While Brian was just as delighted with the performance, stating: “I thought you did a really good job of incorporating those flips and tricks you can do without them overpowering the dance.”
Rhys earned three tens from Arthur, Karen and Loraine, along with a nine from Brian, bringing his total to 37 points.
Gearóid Farrelly and Stephen Vincent

Finally, Comedian Gearóid Farrelly and his dance partner Stephen Vincent ended the night on a high by dancing the Charleston to Emeli Sandé and The Bryan Ferry Orchestra’s version of Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love.
“From the get go it was a real cute take on the Charleston, and also you can see in all the lifts that you’re challenging yourself all the time. You should be proud,” shared Karen.
And while Loraine agreed, she did have one tiny note for the comedian: “Just a little more of the timing, and it would have really been right at the top. Well, well done.”
After receiving three eights and a nine, his performance earned him a total of 33 points.
