Amber Wilson and her professional partner Alex Vladimirov started the night by bringing a modern country twist to the floor with an American Smooth to Chappell Roan’s smash hit The Giver.
“You’ve definitely come so far in confidence and performance, but for me, I don’t think there was enough smoothness in the American smooth,” commented head judge Oti Mabuse.
While Arthur Gourounlian agreed, adding: “It was groovy, but try to relax and enjoy more.”
Amber received five points from all the judges except Oti, who awarded her four points, giving her a total score of 19.

“You have gorgeous footwork, you made it look effortless,” commented Karen Byrne.
Brian awarded a score of seven, while Karen, Oti and Arthur each gave eight, bringing the couple’s total to an impressive 31 points.

Hoping the judges wouldn’t take the lyrics too much to heart, Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh danced a Cha-Cha-Cha to Shania Twain’s That Don’t Impress Me Much alongside Stephen Vincent.
“I thought your leg and foot work weren’t as strong as they should be,” said Oti. “But you’re very easy to watch when you’re performing. You literally shine, so bring that same work to the lower part of your body.”
Arthur, however, was less convinced, adding: “This Cha-Cha-Cha didn’t impress me much. I need you to come back and surprise us next week.”
Niamh was awarded four points from Brian, five from Karen, three from Oti and four from Arthur, giving her a total score of 16.
Jordan Dargan and Rebecca Scott

The Apprentice star Jordan Dargan and his partner Rebecca Scott delivered a dramatic Paso Doble to Jelly Roll’s Dead End Road.
“This is what I’m talking about,” said Karen.
Brian was equally impressed, adding: “Last week I said you were flying high, but after this Paso, everyone is going to see you as a danger man. Well done.”
Jordan picked up eight points from both Brian and Oti, with Karen and Arthur awarding nines, securing a strong total of 34 points.

After playing Fred Flintstone last week, The Traitors Ireland star Paudie Moloney channelled a very different character as he and Laura Nolan performed a Quickstep to Declan Nerney’s Stop the World (And Let Me Off).
“Paudie, you are the ballroom maestro. It was clean, you were light on your feet, you didn’t make any mistakes,” began Oti.
“Paudie, you put a smile on my face from beginning to end. Your musicality is incredible,” added Arthur.
Paudie scored five points from Brian and six each from Karen, Oti and Arthur, bringing his total to a solid 23 points.

The judges clearly loved it, with Philip earning seven points from Brian, eight from Karen, and nine each from Oti and Arthur, giving him a strong total of 33 points.
