Model and Dancing With the Stars contestant Grainne Gallanagh spoke out this weekend about the abuse she’d been receiving online.
The top model revealed that she had lost weight since dancing on the show, which is down tot he rigorous training involved. However, many online trolls commented on her body saying she was either “too fat” or “too skinny.”
Preferring to post on Instagram rather than Twitter she said that;
“When I post on Instagram, I sometimes get private messages commenting on my weight with people saying I’m too thin or too heavy. It’s never consistent.”
Under more of a media spotlight than usual this year as she has been a contestant on DWTS she understands that;
“if you are in the public eye you are going to get these sort of messages but I don’t understand why people feel the need to say this sort of stuff.”
The former Miss Universe did go on to say that;
“The majority of the messages I get are positive but I’ve grown to understand you’re going to have to deal with some negative messages too.
“If I took it too personally. I’d be really upset.”
