Jamie Dornan has opened up about fatherhood, and life with two young daughters, revealing “it’s pretty insane.”
The Irish actor welcomed his first daughter, Dulcie, to the world in 2013, and his wife Amelia gave birth to their second baby earlier this year.
In an interview with Kelly Ripa and Nick Lachey on Live! With Kelly, The Fall star spoke candidly about being a dad, and the new experiences which come with it.
Chatting about his kids, Jamie said, ‘We’ve got two little girls now, so it’s pretty insane. One of my best friends said that one is a pet, two is a zoo.
“I always thought I’d want the boy, because, I think as a guy you just think, ‘I’ll have a little mini version of myself’, but then once you have girls, I can’t imagine having anything but [girls].”
The Fifty Shades star also opened up about how hard it can be to raise a family of two very young children, revealing that while it can be tough at times, himself and Amelia are coping well.
“It’s been a big adjustment and it’s definitely harder,” he said. “You get less time to yourself, but human beings are very good at adaptation.
“You just go with it and accept less sleep and accept less time on your hands and accept less reading of books, and washing, and all the usual things you do in a day.”
