Donal Skehan and his family recently made the move back to Ireland in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. He revealed recently that the family had already been planning to come back to Ireland, but current world events had forced them to take the leap earlier than they intended.
“It’s been a bit of a struggle coming to terms with the last few months. Today was the day we had been due to fly home to Ireland before world events had different plans. We left LA in a crazy rush almost a month ago with so many mixed emotions, lots of stress and anxiety.”
The couple had revealed it’s because they want to bring their children up near their friends and family; “We absolutely love it here but the urge to have the kids closer to family has always been strong.”
With the current coronavirus crisis, Donal shared last month that that they had been “advised by the Irish consulate here in LA to move home as soon as possible or risk cancelled flights and closed borders.” Planning this trip home was very stressful for the family, involving lots of packing and cancelled flights.
Thankfully they are now all home safe and sound.
