Doireann Garrihy has officially kicked off her sunshine escape, jetting off with husband Mark Mehigan and their daughter Rosie for a well-deserved family break.
The presenter took to Instagram Stories this week to reveal she’s swapping the Irish drizzle for the golden beaches of the Canary Islands, and safe to say, we’re more than a little bit jealous!
Sharing a glimpse of their airport dash, Doireann kept things characteristically candid as she joked about their holiday prep.
“Airport bound. Rosie’s holiday looks are sensational, meanwhile I think I packed a sports bra and toothpaste,” she laughed.
Mark also updated his followers, jokingly posting a photo from the plane, with the caption: “Only two outbursts so far and one nappy change.
“Not too bad. Rosie also doing fine.”
The trio thankfully made it safely across shores, with Doireann giving followers a first look at their gorgeous accommodation, including a sweet snap of little Rosie’s adorable holiday set-up.
In a video shared to Mark’s account, the room looks nothing short of stunning.
It features a plush double bed, a dreamy standalone bathtub taking centre stage, and a private balcony perfect for soaking up those Island views.
How glam indeed!
With nothing but crystal-clear seas, temperatures soaring above 20 degrees Celsius, and dreamy sunrises to wake up to each morning, it looks like the perfect setting for some well-earned family time in the sun.
And if the first few snaps are anything to go by, this getaway is already off to a magical start.
