It’s official…Saoirse-Monica Jackson is a married woman!
Yes, the Derry Girls star tied the knot with her long-term love, Scottish DJ Hector Barbour, better known as Denis Sulta, in a stunning three-day wedding in Co. Kerry after he popped the question to her back in January of last year.
Speaking to Vogue, Saoirse explained how they chose to celebrate in Ireland to honour their shared Celtic heritage, hosting 160 guests at Dromquinna Manor, just outside Kenmare.
The festivities began on Friday with a drinks reception and pizzas, followed by a pyjama-themed morning for the bridal party the next day before the ceremony.

Saoirse walked down the aisle with her father to a cover of Dreams by The Cranberries, a nod to Derry Girls, with her former co-star and bridesmaid Jamie-Lee O’Donnell proudly by her side.
The ceremony included Irish folk storytelling, a poem by their matchmaker, and a reading in Irish.
“We wanted both of our cultures and our families and friends to be at the centre of it,” she told the publication.
Purple smoke marked their joyful exit before the celebrations moved on to dinner, surprise performances, and a packed dancefloor.
Meanwhile, highlights included Saoirse’s dad making an entrance in a Darth Vader costume, a Wicked-themed surprise for Hector, and a conga line to cut the cake.

The party continued into the early hours, with guests reconvening the next morning for a BBQ breakfast, mimosas, and more storytelling before heading to a local pub.
“Everybody said that the whole weekend was like something from a movie, and it really was,” Saoirse added.
“I want to do it again!”
Congrats to the happy couple!
