Last night saw Michael Maloney perform his new song on the Late Late Show. In case you need reminding, Michael appeared on the Toy Show last year and was surprised by his idol, none other than Dermot Kennedy himself.
Once he got over the shock, the pair performed Dermot’s hit song ‘Giants’ together.
For this weekend’s show Michael was back on the Late Late to perform a song of his own. The 14-year-old performed his own single this time, All That I Do which was dedicated to his Dad, Emmet who has passed away.

All That I Do’ is a beautiful tribute to his late father Emmett Moloney who’s 4th anniversary is on May 23rd, and the track is written and inspired by him.
Speaking about the song, and his inspiration, Michael explains: “It was like a lightbulb moment, why don’t I write a song about my dad? This song was different from my other songs, I was writing about a real-life event that happened, and the lyrics embodied how I felt about my dad passing away.”
As a surprise, Dermot Kennedy sent in a video message for the Ballina singer in which he said; “Hi Michael I just wanted to say Congratulations on the release of your first single, it is miles better than anything I could’ve done at your age.”
“You should be so proud so well done,” he added.
Like Dermot Kennedy, Twitter had nothing but great things to say about Michael’s performance last night.
