Dermot Kennedy, Picture This and more reschedule summer gigs

Due to current circumstances many gigs which were set to take place this summer have been rescheduled to later dates as the performers and promoters look after the well-being of everyone involved – and those who would have been in attendance.

Dermot Kennedy, Picture This and Ronan Keating are among those who have had to push back concerts. Here’s everything you need to know about their rescheduled dates.

Dermot Kennedy

Dermot’s Irish gigs, originally scheduled to take place in June of this year, have now been rescheduled for June 2021. Tickets for the original dates will remain valid.

Taking to Instagram, Dermot told fans: “I’m very sorry we don’t get to play these shows this year, but it’s so necessary, as you all know. And it just means we can have an even bigger celebration when the time does come.

“Thank you for consistently supporting me. I can’t wait to see you all. I love you. Stay safe.”

Picture This

Irish band Picture This have also rescheduled their summer concerts to June 2021. The foursome are due to play shows in Dublin, Cork and Belfast next summer.

Taking to social media, the lads wrote: “Under the advice of the government, it’s the safest thing to do right now.

“Very sorry for any inconvenience, but it’s the right thing to do, and we all need to keep safe during these crazy times!”

Ronan Keating

Former Boyzone member Ronan Keating has announced that his June 2020 tour is postponed until further notice.

The musician was due to play Dublin’s Vicar Street on June 6th, as well as a date at the Botanic Gardens in Belfast.

Posting on Instagram, Ronan admitted: “I’m gutted that the shows this June are having to be rescheduled, but I hope everyone will agree that it’s the right thing to do whilst we all work to get through these tough times.

“Please stay safe, help support key workers and I’ll see you out on the road when we’ve beaten this together.”

My Chemical Romance (MCR)

American rock band My Chemical Romance were set to play five shows across the UK and Ireland this June, all of which have now been rescheduled for June 2021.

In a statement the band said: “We must put the health of our fans and families first. We believe you understand this decision, which we laboured over.

“We intend to come back and play – in fact, we can’t wait to play – and hope you will be there with us, hope there is much to celebrate.”

The new MCR Dublin show will now take place on June 22nd 2021 in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Nathan Carter

Nathan Carter’s Live at the Marquee in Cork gig has been postponed until 2021.

The show was due to take place on May 31st, however, a new date has yet to be announced.
