Dermot Kennedy has quickly risen to fame over the last few years.
But like all budding artists, there was a time when Dermot had certain goals he wanted to reach before making it big.
Taking to Instagram, the Irish singer shared an array of photos of old notebooks that he had found.
“I’m not sure if people are interested in this stuff, but I found some old notebooks today while I was writing, and a lot of the stuff I found made me smile,” he admitted.

Among his findings was a list of goals that he set himself before anyone would book him.
His dream list included some of Ireland’s biggest music festivals such as Sea Sessions, Electric Picnic, and Other Voices, all of which he has since played.
Dermot also shared his first draft of lyrics for his songs Without Fear and All My Friends.
He then thanked his fans for getting him to where he is today adding: “I feel like I went looking for these notebooks for a reason today.
“I’m feeling more grounded than I have in a long time.
“Going for long walks with a dictaphone and dog treats in my bag.
“Thanks for getting me here,” he noted.
There’s no stopping him!
