Dennis Quaid has apologised to Saoirse Ronan for mispronouncing her name during the announcement of the Golden Globes nominations in 2015.
The Fortitude star called out the Carlow native’s name as ‘Sheesha’ when revealing who the nominees were in the Best Actress category back in December 2015.
Today however, while chatting to Ian Dempsey on Today FM Dennis issued a simple apology to the actress by saying, “I apologise!” Ian then played on the whole ordeal, telling Dennis, “It’s alright. We’ve dined out on it over here!”
The 63-year-old was on air to chat about his newest film A Dog’s Purpose, which tells the story of a dog and how he looks to discover his purpose in life over the course of several lifetimes and owners. It hits cinemas nationwide this Friday, May 5th.
