
Deirdre O’Kane is a woman of many talents, from comedian to actress to presenter and reality star, she’s really done it all.
So it’s really no surprise that she has been chosen for the prestigious Maureen O’Hara Award.
The award which has been around since 2008 was established to celebrate outstanding women film and television named in honour of the Irish-American actress who is one of Hollywood’s best-loved stars.

Deirdre will be presented with the award at the Kerry Film Festival which runs from 17-21st October in Killarney.
Speaking about the accolade Deirdre said she was ‘feeling very honoured indeed’.
Previous recipients include actresses Saoirse Ronan, Fionnula Flanagan and editor/director Emer Reynolds among others.
