The Moone family has reunited! Well, Debra and Liam Moone to be more specific.
Deirdre O’Kane, who played matriarch Debra on the hit sitcom Moone Boy, took to Instagram, to share her impromptu reunion with The Batman star, Peter McDonald, who played her on-screen husband Liam in the series.
The pair randomly bumped in to each other at a party in London, marking the moment with a selfie.
Sharing her delight at seeing her former co-star, Deirdre wrote: “Look who I met at a party last night in London…Liam Moone!!!”
The comedy, created and starring Chris O’Dowd, ended in 2015, after three season.
It celebrated its tenth anniversary last September, with David Rawle, who played lead character Martin Moone, paying tribute to the show.
The actor was just 12-years-old who he took on the title role, and now in his 20s, he looked back on the series fondly. Sharing photos from his time on set, David wrote on Twitter: “Just found out that 10 years ago today the very first episode of Moone Boy came out. My god we had some craic.”

The show was set and filmed in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, where Chris O’Dowd was born and raised.
The Hollywood star has hinted that his next project may also take place in the Connaught town.
Speaking at the premiere of Puffin Rock and the New Friends, Chris told Extra.ie: “I don’t think they’ve announced it yet but yeah, I’m hoping to bring some more cinema to the northwest this Autumn.”
We best keep an eye out for an announcement then!
