Dayl Cronin recently stole the hearts of the nation when he competed on RTE’s Dancing With The Stars. Although he didn’t take home the Glitterball, Dayl proved himself to be a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him.
The Tipperary native entered the public eye as one sixth of boyband Hometown in 2015. The band had a good run but sadly parted ways last year and Dayl was devastated.
Now as DWTS has wrapped, the 23-year-old is facing the scary decision of what to do next in his life. Taking on the music business as a solo singer is an option for the young star, but for now he’s set his sights on musical theatre.
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine Dayl said, “I’m not 100 per cent sure. It’s a hard business to be in, especially going solo- it’s not easy to make it. But maybe I will try it. It’s an option for me.
“Right now though, I see myself going down the musical theatre road. I want to be on shows in the West End or tour with a big musical.
“I always did school musicals, and I went to a performing arts college to study musical theatre, so it has always been a passion of mine.
“I’d love to play a fun part, something upbeat, but i’d try my hand at something more serious too. I like to try everything, I think I’d like to try presenting on tv too, I’ve been told I’d be good at that.”
We think Dayl has got what it takes for the stage! You can catch the full interview with Dayl Cronin in this month’s VIP Magazine, on shelves tomorrow.
