Danny O’Donoghue has shared a touching tribute to a former Voice contestant who was tragically murdered last night.
Christina Grimmie was a contestant on the American Voice in 2014 and went on to have a successful singing career after the show.
However, while doing a meet and greet after a concert last night she was gunned down by an unknown man.
Danny was a judge on the UK version of the show and he took to social media to offer his condolences and express his sadness over the tragic event.
He tweeted, “Thoughts and prayers for the family of Christina Grimmie. The whole Voice family mourns the loss RIP”
Although Danny wasn’t a judge on Christina’s series of the Voice, it’s clear that she made a lasting impression on him.
Our thoughts are with Christina’s friends and family at this tough time.
