Daniella Moyles reveals she has no desire to settle down in Ireland over the coming years, and would much prefer to live abroad.
The presenter, who worked on Spin 103.8’s breakfast show, took a notion one day to pack up and travel the world for two years- and reckons it was the best decision she’s ever made.
“I always had a real niggle to travel long term. Every year the responsibilities would build and I could feel it get less and less realistic so I just left,” she said.
While she’s back at the minute to further her studies and work on a degree, Daniella admits she has no intentions of sticking around once it’s complete.
Speaking to Luke O’Faolain on his podcast The Feckless Rogue, she said, “I’m not settled. I’ve never needed a pathway for a traditional route.
“My friends and family laugh at me, they think I’m a little bit weird but it’s not that I’m trying to be different, I just really, genuinely never desired it. I naturally shunned away from it.”
She continued, “I felt more settled living out of a bag, not staying in any one place for more than six nights…I felt more settled having the bones of a route plan and absolutely nothing else.
“I found a huge amount of peace in the space and the time for reflection. This is a cliche, but I learned so much about myself, my mind, my life, my intentions and motivations.
“I feel settled already without the need for the external things that make you look settled. I think I’ll ultimately live in Bali or somewhere in Asia where I feel free.”
