Daniel O’Donnell has reassured fans that he is not in hospital, after false claims about his health began circulating online.

Yes, the singer warned his followers to be cautious, as the rumours appear to be part of a scam targeting fans.

His statement comes following different posts purporting to show the Donegal singer in a hospital bed after a car crash on the likes of Facebook.

Taking to Facebook, to clear the rumours, Daniel admitted that he was “feeling very well” and that the posts were fake.

“I’m just doing a wee message to let you know I’m feeling very well,” he began the video.

“I’ve seen a few pictures up leading people to believe I’m in hospital very unwell, with a picture of me.

“And obviously that’s a fake, doctored picture telling people that I need help.

“So, please ignore all of these things that you see on Facebook. I am very well and I hope that you’re well too.”

He also noted that, unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done about these scammers, except to avoid engaging with them and, most importantly, never send them money if asked.

This has not been the first time Daniel has been targeted with such scams.

Just last month, a statement was issued on his Facebook page along with screenshots of a fake account pretending to be the singer and asking people to send him money for various campaigns and projects.

Stay vigilant out there!
