Daniel Day-Lewis has announced his retirement from acting.
The 60-year-old county Wicklow man made a statement through his publicist saying that his decision to end his glittering career was “aa private decision.”
Well known for his roles in My Left Foot, Gangs of New York and Lincoln, Daniel has won three Best Actor Academy Awards throughout his long-spanning career.
Leslie Dart, Daniel’s rep continued that “neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject.”
