Imelda May has revealed that she is unsure if her tv show will be returning for another series.
The songstress has presented The Imelda May show for the past two years and despite impressive viewing figures Imelda hasn’t yet been approached to present a third year of the show.
When asked by the Irish Mirror if RTE had approached her for a third year of the show the 41 year old replied, “No, they haven’t. They never ask me until the last minute and then it’s panic station trying to get it organised.I don’t know what the story is.”
However, Imelda still remains hopeful for the return of her show and would like it continue, so she can showcase the vast amount of talent that Ireland has.
She said, ” A lot of the bands that were on it have done very well, the ones that weren’t well known have done well since.
“There’s so much good music in Ireland. It’s bursting at the seams.
“For the size of the country, the amount of great music is incredible.”
We definitely agree with Imelda here and would love to see The Imelda May Show return to our screens again!
