It looks like Anna Daly is the latest person to throw her hat in the ring to be the next host of Liveline.
Yes, earlier this summer, Joe Duffy hung up his microphone at Liveline after almost 30 years at the helm.
Ever since, the nation has been wondering who could possibly replace him.

But now, Anna’s not afraid to admit that she too, has put her name in the running.
Speaking to the Irish Independent on whether she applied for the role, Anna responded: “I did, I certainly did.
“I’d imagine there’s stiff competition going on, but listen, I’ve a lot of live TV and now radio experience, so why not?
“It’s gone through my own agent, and then they put out the expression of interest, so I imagine that cast the net wider again,” she noted.

“If people hadn’t been in the mix previously, that would have invited more names to come in … it’ll be very interesting to see who gets [the job].”
Anna previously hosted Ireland AM on Virgin Media but left the show in 2021 after 12 years.
She now works as a freelancer, having taken on a number of RTÉ projects, including Future Island and Hospital Live.
So, what do you think — could she be the next Liveline host?
