Peaky Blinders is the show everyone is talking about these days, and now it has been rumoured that, the phenomenal tv series could be made into a movie.
Irish star, and one of the lead actors in the hit show, Cillian Murphy, has spoken out about the prospect of it hitting the big screen, admitting that while it’s a “sexy idea”, he has mixed feelings about it.
Speaking to Deadline, he said, “I’m sort of ambivalent about it. I love the idea, sort of theoretically, but it has to come at the right time.
“Cinema is tricker because you gotta pay your $10, you gotta leave the kids at home – you’ve got to do all of that, so it’s different.
“Also, you have to compress the story into probably just an event rather than the whole arc that we’ve normally been.
“It’s kind of a sexy idea, but I’ll reserve judgement until the idea is presented to me.”
Now we’d have no problem seeing Cillian and his co-star Tom Hardy on the big screen together, but until that does happen, we’ve plenty more series of Peaky Blinders to keep us occupied, as two more series of the show have been commission.
