It was announced this week that UFC star Conor McGregor will feature in the hugely popular Call of Duty video game.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be the first of the games to feature an MMA fighter, and Conor feels honoured that the creators, Activision, chose him.
Taking to Instagram yesterday Conor wrote, “The best team up with the best! As a huge Call of Duty fan I am honoured to be the first ever MMA fighter in a @CallofDuty game. Watch for me in #InfiniteWarfare on November 4. #ad.”
This is sure to be a successful venture for both the Notorious and the game’s creators. Just last year Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 brought in $550 million in three days and was the biggest entertainment premiere of the year across all channels.
Another Irish star set to star in the newest edition of Call of Duty is Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington.
