Colette Fitzpatrick has opened up about her marriage struggles, saying having kids can drive a couple apart.
The tv personality admitted children can be a huge strain on a relationship which can test and eventually break down the bond.
“I laugh at the notion when people are having relationship difficulties and they think a baby will solve it, there is nothing that will drive you further apart than a baby I can tell you because it is a stressful situation”, she told RSVP Magazine.
While she feels “blessed” to be mum to her kids Milo and Olivia, she now says motherhood was not always in her sights;
“I never has this huge longing to have a child, you hear other women saying from their early 20’s they wanted to have a baby but I never had that.”
Colette however, openly praises her husband and is glad that their parenting dynamic works well between them;
“It is great but he is on the same page as me, we have our little family and we are done and dusted.”
