Colin Farrell is set to make his return to the small screen in an upcoming Amazon miniseries about the Iran-Contra affair of the 1980s.
The Dubliner will play the part of a political commander called Oliver North, a member of the National Security Council involved in the political scandal that facilitated the selling of illegal arms to Iran, and the release of American hostages from the Lebanon.
This then led to the US diverting the money made on these sales to fund anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua.
Colin will join forces once again with director Yorgos Lanthimos for the series, who he worked with on Oscar-nominatated The Lobster.
We look forward to having him back on our screens again.
