Coleen Nolan has shared her support for ex-husband Shane Richie has he appears in the latest season of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
The pair, who share two children together, Shane Jr and Jake, were married for nine years before divorcing in 1999 following his affair.
They’ve remained on friendly terms, and Coleen, who is a member of Irish band The Nolans, reveals she’s been watching him on the reality show every night since it started.
He joined the star-studded line-up on Sunday night – alongside many of their mutual pals.
Speaking to their son Shane Jr on Instagram Live, Coleen said, “It’s really hard for me. I love and know Bev [Beverly Callard] so well, I’ve worked with Victoria [Derbyshire] a lot and your dad is in there, so there’s three people in there who I’m rooting for.
“I’m loving it. I wish it was on for two hours every night. I think your dad has been absolutely brilliant. He’s more quiet than I thought he would be but then you just hear him in the background.”
Earlier this week Shane took part in the first trial of the series, dubbed The Viper Vault, with BBC radio presenter Jordan North.
They lay underground surrounded by snakes as they opened specific vaults to get gold stars.
Before they began, Shane joked that ‘half of Dublin’ wanted to see him do a trial, as well as soap rival Corrie fans.
“I’ve got a big family in Ireland, they’ll have emptied the account and I think Coronation Street fans” he said.
