Claire Brock has been announced as the new presenter of Virgin Media’s The Tonight Show, as original presenter Ciara Doherty goes on maternity leave.
It seems that there was no better woman for the job, as Claire has been working in broadcasting for the last decade, currently presenting Virgin Media news.
Presenting alongside Matt Cooper from Monday to Thursday, Claire shared her delight with stepping into Ciara’s shoes. She tweeted:
“This week as I officially step in to present @TonightVMTV for a while.”

Thanking Ciara for prepping her for the role she added: “Best wishes to the total pro @ciarathedoc who’s given me all the survival tips! Looking forward to it”
It’s been a long time coming for Ciara’s replacement to be announced, with the likes of Claire and Zara King rumoured to be in the running.
Ciara announced that she and husband Richard are expecting their second child in November of last year. The two are already parents to Renee, who is almost two.
