It’ll be a Christmas of festive fun for Jake and Nathan Carter, following weeks away from their family.
Due to work and tour commitments, the brothers haven’t been home to Liverpool to see their family as much as they’d like to, but plan to make up for it over holidays.
Describing a typical Christmas morning in the Carter household, Jake tells VIP Magazine, “Myself and Nathan get kicked out of the house because we’re not that great at cooking.
“We’ll go to the pub, have a few Christmas drinks and when we come back, the dinner will be ready. Basically, anyone who’s good at cooking stays in the house and everyone else gets shipped off to the pub,” he laughs.
“We eat way too much, watch a bit of telly and then eat again. It’s the same as any other family really. There are always games and the odd sing-along too.
“It’s a great time of year, and it’s so nice to catch up with everyone because myself and Nathan don’t get to see everyone as much as we’d like to.”
While they’ve been busy making plans, if the weather takes the slightest turn, there’s a chance Jake won’t get home at all.
The crooner is starring as Aladdin in the Olympia panto this year, meaning if there’s any chance of flight delays or cancellations due to the weather, he’ll have to stay in Dublin.
“I have flights booked to go home on Christmas Eve and I’ll be back on the morning of Stephens’ Day so I’ll literally just be home for a quick trip.
“If the snow hits, I’ll have to stay put over here though, because the show must go on! I can’t risk missing a flight and there not being an Aladdin!”
Catch him on stage between December 21st- January 6th.
