This year’s Christmas Coca-Cola Truck tour will not be going ahead, marking the first time it has been canceled in 10 years.
The cancellation of course comes as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you’re unfamiliar with the event, the famous coca-cola truck usually visits counties around Ireland each festive season, giving adults and children far and wide the opportunity to see the famous red truck up close and personal. The truck is synonymous with the Christmas ‘Holidays Are Coming’ advert, which has been airing each festive season since 1995.
Coca-Cola Ireland released a statement, explaining:
“Due to current restrictions around the country, our Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour won’t go ahead this year.”

Continuing on, the company said that although this is a disappointment to many of those looking forward to the event, they will remain committed to spreading Christmas cheer regardless, and look forward to welcoming everyone next year.
