UK singer Paolo Nutini surprised a young Celtic fan last week in the sweetest way possible. The Last Request singer showed up to Jay Beatty’s hotel in Glasgow and had a sing-song with him.
The 12-year-old Northern Ireland native was at his hotel in Glasgow, ahead of last Sunday’s semi-final match between Celtic and Rangers, when he was surprised by one of his favourite singers, who is a fellow Celtic supporter.
Paolo had a chat with Jay, and the pair belted out his hit song Someone Like You. Jay’s dad Martin caught the whole thing on camera, and posted the video to his Facebook page.
Alongside the video Martin wrote, “What a day, what a result. This morning a very special guest came to our hotel to catch up with Jay.
“It says a lot that he would give up his Sunday morning after flying in late from London to make the start of Jay’s day even more special.
“A Club like No Other. Thanks everyone for a great weekend.”
