A host of stars, including Suzanne Jackson, Aoibhinn McGinnity and Jenny Buckley got their jazz hands at the ready for the stunning opening performance of Chicago at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre last night.
The musical which is based off real life events from the 1920’s, follows Roxie Hart and her journey through jail after she shoots her lover. Along the way, we get to know smooth talking lawyer, Billy Flynn, double murdereress Velma Kelly, and Mama Morton, through a series of incredible song and dance numbers.
The star-studded line-up of the show itself, includes former X Factor star Sam Bailey, Emmerdale and Corrie actress Andrea Beckett, and Eastenders hunk John Partridge.
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine after the show, Aoibhinn McGinnity said, “It’s honestly the best musical in the world. That was incredible!
“I was buzzing! It’s amazing. Every single thing about it – the singing, the jazz, the beats, the music…I’ve only seen it once before and I think it’s the best show in the world, hands down.”
