Cecelia Ahern to see another one of her novels turned into a film

Irish novelist Cecelia Ahern is set to see another one of her novels transformed into a film.

Of course, we’re big fans of PS I Love You both the book and the film, we’ll even forgive Gerard Butler’s dodgy Irish accent!

Her second book, Where Rainbows End, was also adapted into the movie called Love, Rosie with Emily in Paris star, Lily Collins.

And now we have a third flick to look forward to.

Cecelia’s 2005 novel If You Could See Me Now is the novel in question and will star The Fault In Our Star’s actor Ansel Elgort and will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, as per Deadline.

The story follows Elizabeth Egan who leads a busy life running her own business as well as taking on the role of mother to her carefree sister’s son Luke. Her life is changed when her imaginary friend, Ivan, who helped her as a child after her mother disappeared, returns once again to bring some magic and romance into her life.

The heartwarming tale is to be adapted into a film by Catherine Cort.

Along with the books we mentioned, Cecelia has a slew of novels that you can tuck into while we wait for this new film. Most recently she released Before the Storm in 2023.

The author herself posted an Instagram post of the Deadline article and captioned it: “One of the best Christmas gifts an author could receive”.

Safe to say we eagerly await any updates on casting and a release date!
