Brendan Grace’s sister Marie has sadly passed away following a short illness.
The 59-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in May of this year, and lost her battle with the disease earlier this week.
A Facebook group, Remembering Brendan Grace, announced the tragic news of her death – as well as the passing of their aunt Wyn too – just days before his own anniversary.
The post reads:”Anyone who knew Marie will attest to her having just as sharp a wit as her famous brother, whom she adored as did he, her.
“It is a strange and tender thing for us to absorb the loss of both Wyn and Marie from a distance due to Covid restrictions and also, within such a short time since losing Brendan.
“We are comforted by the strength, love and kindness of family, friends and health care workers and to know Brendan, Wyn and Marie are now and forever together and at peace.
“Heaven has gained three absolute characters, no doubt.”
