Bono might be one of the world’s most famous musicians, but first and foremost he is a father, and when he wasn’t winning Grammy awards and selling out stadiums, you could find him doing typical parenting.
But his daughters Eve and Jordan confessed that the U2 frontman always put his own spin on parental duties, like stopping for an impromptu Backstreet Boys dance session on the way to school.
As they explained to The Sunday Times: “One time we were in traffic on Rock Road and he got out of the car and started dancing in the traffic to Backstreet Boys. Mortifying at the time, but I commend him for it now.”

But it wasn’t all dancing, as the girls also shared Bono extremely casual school run attire.
With Jordan sharing: “Dad used to take us to school in his dressing gown, God bless him.”
31-year-old Eve followed in her dad’s footsteps, jumping into the showbiz world. Most recently the Dubliner starred in Apple TV’s hit series Bad Sister, along side Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, and Sarah Greene. She has also starred in films such as Papillon, Blood Ties, and Tesla.
While 33-years-old Jordan followed mum Ali Hewson’s footsteps into activism. She is the founder and CEO of Speakable, a technology company that promotes and encourages civic engagement.
Bono and Ali also have two sons, 23-year-old Elijah, who is a musician like his father performing with band Inhaler, and 21-year-old John.
As for what it was like growing up with a famous parents, the girls admit there were ups and downs.
Saying: “When we were on the road with U2, we had a tutor, but otherwise it was just Evie and me…Sometimes it felt like a really big adventure, other times you didn’t want to share your dad with that many people.”
“We grew up so privileged but we were also exposed to world issues. Mom was working on the Chernobyl Children’s Project when we were small. She’d drive ambulances to Belarus and spend weeks in orphanages and during those times, dad would look after us.”
