Bonnie Ryan tied the knot to her long-time beau John last month in a stunning Italian celebration. But while the day was absolutely stunning, it took some work to get it organised, especially with lockdown restrictions in place.
Opening up on her Instagram stories Bonnie revealed she never saw her wedding venue in person before booking.
Explaining; “First time I viewed my venue back last summer I had to book it from not seeing it in real life – so this was the day we did our food tasting ! I was so excited”
Bonnie and John had to postpone their big day several times due to the pandemic, which meant many of their decisions were made far before the wedding, including the bride’s stunning dress.
“I bought this dress over 2 years ago … loved it even more on the day of the wedding if that was even possibly” she revealed.
And one big upside to having the dress for so long, was that Bonnie got plenty of practice wearing it.
“We would (practice) walking , turning , shoes , earrings … god we had fun!” she confessed.
The newlywed also shared how a friend actually helped her find one of the accessories. Saying; “My (birthday) in October my bestie had my garter hand made as my present.)
The pair said “I do” in a romantic Italian ceremony surrounded by friends and family, in the same chapel which Bonnie’s sister Lottie married in five years ago.
For their big day Bonnie donned a stunning off-the-shoulder mermaid gown, with a lace bodice, and statement balloon sleeves. She completed her look with a dramatic veil, featuring delicate lace details at the edge. While John opted for a sleek black suit.
Sharing a photo from their special day, the bride and groom posed on a classic Italian moped while Bonnie obscured John’s face with her bouquet.

This is the couple second celebration as they legally married back in March during a Dublin courthouse ceremony. However, it was a much more intimate affair, with this Italian ceremony serving as their official wedding celebration.
