Bonnie Ryan tied the knot to her long-time beau John earlier this week in a stunning Italian celebration. But now Bonnie is sharing the lessons she learned from wedding planning with soon-to-be brides.
The makeup artist offered advice when it comes to organising the bridesmaids’ aspects of the big day. Revealing she thinks it’s best to let the bridesmaids make their own decisions.
Explaining; “My advise, anyone picking bridesmaids bits – let the girls pick it all, give them an idea of your vibe, but let them pick.”
Sharing her reasoning, she wrote; “You’ve picked your best friends to be by your side so you want them to feel their absolute best.”
Revealing how she and her bridesmaids made arrangements, Bonnie explained; “I let the girls pick the dress, the way they wanted their hair, their shoes, I gave options but let them pick.”
And her idea paid off, as she shared her delight with the approach, writing; “On the day they all looked and felt their best and that’s what I wanted.”
But her hands-off approach didn’t mean there was no work to be done. Bonnie revealed that before the wedding she gave her bridal party makeup lessons for the big day.
Sharing; “I had my girls over for a tutorial night in my house and on the day they all did their own makeup. How bloody beautiful are they!?”
The pair said “I do” in a romantic Italian ceremony surrounded by friends and family, in the same chapel which Bonnie’s sister Lottie married in five years ago.
For their big day Bonnie donned a stunning off-the-shoulder mermaid gown, with a lace bodice, and statement balloon sleeves. She completed her look with a dramatic veil, featuring delicate lace details at the edge. While John opted for a sleek black suit.
Sharing a photo from their special day, the bride and groom posed on a classic Italian moped while Bonnie obscured John’s face with her bouquet.

This is the couple second celebration as they legally married back in March during a Dublin courthouse ceremony. However, it was a much more intimate affair, with this Italian ceremony serving as their official wedding celebration.
