For anyone that was getting married over the past year, it’s certainly been a stressful and confusing time. With restrictions in place as well as constantly changing date for reopening, may couples have made the difficult decision to postpone their nuptials.
Bonnie Ryan is in that position herself as a bride, revealing on social media that today was supposed to be her wedding day. Sharing a video to her Instagram stories, as she poured a glass of bubbly to mark the would be occasion.
She said; “What should have been our wedding day. Making the most of today and celebrating the real countdown from here.”
It was in December of 2020 that Bonnie shared with her followers that she was postponing her big day.
Sharing the news to Instagram she said; “An extra year of being your fiancé doesn’t sound too bad to me.”
“2021 isn’t to be the year we get married , 2022 sounds much better for us ..especially because our number is 22!”
Continuing she said; “We made the decision to postpone our wedding so we can start fresh and enjoy the lead up to our big day. It’ll be all the sweeter when we get there, and I will love you 365 days even more.”
The 27-year-old got engaged to her long term love, John in November 2019. The couple were celebrating their 11 year anniversary when he decided to pop the question.
Notoriously private, the couple have been together since they were teenagers but Bonnie never posts any photos that can reveal who John is. She marks their anniversary with a selfie and five words: “Anniversary night 🥂 11 years later …”
