Baz Ashmawy reveals DIY SOS are looking for another family to take part in the show

DIY SOS first aired in Ireland last year, as we saw Baz Ashmawy and a team of generous volunteers renovate the homes of deserving families and changing their lives forever, all with just nine days to complete the transformation.

Now, Baz has shared that the DIY SOS team are looking for another family to take part in the show.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Baz wrote: “As you know I do a show called DIY SOS where we adapt the homes of families who are maybe suffering from a devastating illness or life-altering condition…

“We try to adapt their homes to make them more liveable and to help those families out. And we’re still looking for families which is amazing, one family actually.

“So if you know someone that you think this might help or maybe your family, please apply.”

Check out the full criteria below, and if you’d like to apply you can do so here.

  • The family must need changes made to their house, not just want.
  • They must need large structural changes rather than just cosmetic changes such as painting, decorating or gardening.
  • Must have planning permission in place if a large renovation is needed, or if proposed renovations do not require planning.
  • They must own their house in Ireland, only own one house and it must be a private residence.
