Top golfer Rory McIlroy is planning to spend Christmas at home in Ireland this year, surrounded by his family and soon-to-be wife.
The sports star will take some time off in Co Down with his new fiancé Erica Stoll.
A close source has told to the Irish Independent, “Despite his lifestyle, Rory’s a real home bird and is very close to his parents Rosie and Gerry, and always makes sure to get a few days off at Christmas to see them in Ireland.”
The news of his Christmas plans comes shortly after Rory revealed that his parents are over the moon with the news of his engagement.
“We are excited, our parents are excited, so it is a really happy time,” he said.
