This week Anna Geary shared the heartbreaking news that her father, Michael had passed away. The camogie star posted a series of snaps of her and her Dad to social media alongside the caption; “Rest easy Dad. How has it been a week. 16-03-2022.”
Michael passed away a week ago, with his funeral taking place in Milford Church, Cork at the weekend.
RIP.ie reads; “Deeply regretted by his loving wife Ellen Ann (nee Danaher), daughter Anna (Sexton), son Thomas (& his partner Mary Ita Murphy), son-in-law Kevin, brothers David, Martin & Jim, sisters Siobhán (Roberts), Máire (Deering) & Mairéad (McLoughlin), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.”
Of course many well known faces were quick to share their condolences with Anna and her family at this sad time with James Patrcie commenting; “Oh Anna I’m so very sorry. Sending love and thinking of you.”
Fellow presenter, Muireann O’Connell who lost her own father last year said; “Anna, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family are doing ok.”
Georgie Crawford also shared; “So sorry Anna. Sending you all the love in the world” and Trisha Lewis said; “Oh Anna I’m so sorry for your loss.”
