Anna Geary has shared her thoughts on the “New Year, New Me” mindset and let’s just say she isn’t buying into it.
Taking to Instagram, the fitness TV personality expressed how it’s normal to struggle as we readjust after the Christmas season, adding how we should take our time and “ease” ourselves into it all.
“This time of year can feel a bit strange. I don’t know how I feel about all the talk surrounding the New Year,” she began.
“The resolutions. The expectation. The pressure.

“The truth is many are just trying to survive for one reason or another- the overwhelming sadness of seeing what’s happening in the world, maybe it’s wading through grief or financial worries, or illness. So many things. They mightn’t have the energy to think about anything else.
“If you are one of these people, just keep doing what you can,” she added.
Anna continued by talking about how much pressure the new year can bring, whether it’s goal-setting, clean-eating, or hitting the gym, before making the point that there are plenty of days in 2025 to get going on any changes you might want to make.
“Ease yourself in. I like having goals to work towards but I’m taking my time – I still have some of the selection boxes to finish.
“Please don’t feel you need to change in order to be happy. ”
Finally, Anna concluded by advising her followers if they are looking to add a goal for the year, to make sure that they are doing it for themselves and not for others.
“Figure out what makes you feel good in yourself and do more of that!”
Solid advice, Anna!
