It’s been three years in the making, but Anna Geary and her husband Kevin Sexton are finally off on their honeymoon.
After tieing the knot back in October 2019, the pair had originally hoped to travel around the US but sadly the pandemic had other plans.
The wedding took place at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Killeagh, Co. Cork and included a star-packed guestlist full of GAA heroes and famous faces from the world of entertainment.
Following their nuptials, they did manage to escape on a “mini moon” where they embarked on a short tour around Ireland including a few nights in Kerry and Mayo.
Fast-forward to today and the former GAA star and her partner have jetted off to the beautiful Reykjavík in Iceland.
Giving a glimpse into their romantic getaway, Anna took to Instagram to share a gallery of photos from their trip, writing: “Iceland snippets. The delayed honeymoon … 3 years in waiting, but worth it!”
The couple are keeping themselves busy as they tackle the elements, throwing their arm at snowmobiling, exploring stunning natural parks and taking in breathtaking waterfalls.
Of course, being in Iceland they couldn’t help but take a dip in one of the famous lagoons too.
Friends of Anna’s were quick to flood the comments section to wish the happy couple well with RTE star Maia Dunphy writing: “Looks incredible,” while another friend commented: “Absolutely amazing! Worth the wait! Enjoy every moment.”
The break comes after Anna and Kevin enjoyed a weekend away at a pal’s wedding where they had some “much-needed” dancing and laughing.
