TV3’s Anna Daly has opened up about the struggle of balancing work and family life.
The Weekend AM presenter says it is difficult to keep up with her husband due to their busy schedules.
“The hardest part, I suppose, is the sacrifice of being away from your family at the weekends,” she said.
She added: “My husband works during the week and is at home with the kids and then I’m at work at the weekends, our working weeks are different. It can be tricky sometimes. I work Thursday to Sunday,”
Anna and Ben have three children, and she says that though she gets to see her kids during the week, she and Ben are rarely at home together.
“I’m jumping between home and work. The hardest part about it is probably for my husband. We are like ships passing in the night.”

The couple have been married for eight years, and Anna credits their strong relationship as the reason they can spend time apart.
“A sense of humour, I think that’s what he would say as well. Ben is funnier than me, he’s very dry,” she told the Herald.
The couple have three children young children, James (six), Euan (four) and Reece (nine months), which Anna admits can be a lot of work.
“It’s full on, it’s really full on. You think you have it full on when you have two and then a third comes along. It’s about the support you get from your husband and your family and everyone just helping out and jumping in and making things easier,” she said.
