We all know that many images we see online can be edited, so much so that entire faces, bodies and images can be completely changed.
Angela Scanlon has taken to her Instagram to share the importance of unfiltered and unedited images, as she opens up about suffering from acne.
Sharing a video with her followers, the Meath native wrote: “Some real talk. I love my skin. I LOVE it!
“Even though it gets itchy above 10 degrees & I can’t get a tan. I’ve got a little whiskey nose & I’m ok with that, it’s see through but it’s mine. I spent many years with acne and felt so wildly self-conscious about it so even now when I get messages about my skin I’m waiting for the gag.”
Continuing, Angela wrote, “Anyway!! It’s generally pretty good-problematic skin made me disciplined about looking after it & no matter how many tequilas that slap is coming off.

“BUT I wanted to show you that when there aren’t make up artists, studio lights, all the things that are part of being “out there” but not visible if you’re sitting “in there” my skin breaks out like a mo fo, and of course on a week when I’m filming lots.
“It’s thrown me back in time but also just wanted to put it out there because it made me remember how lonely it can feel and how you want to isolate yourself and be unseen. Anyway F**K THAT, as my dad says “you could be dead tomorrow” so here’s my chin, she’s taken a lot”.
