So deserved!

Andrew Scott has been nominated for an Emmy for his role in Netflix’s Ripley.

Scott starred as the titular Ripley in the mini-series that landed on the platform earlier this year.

The series has also received a nomination for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. And rightly so.

Ripley was created, written and directed by Steven Zaillian and was based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel, The Talented Mr. Ripley.

The story had previously been adapted into a film of the same name starring Jude Law and Matt Damon.

The Netflix series also starred Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn. It follows Scott’s character as he travels to Italy to try to convince Dickie to return back to the States.

What follows is a web of deceit, fraud, and murder. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s really good. Watch it.

Scott will be up against Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Matt Bomer (Fellow Travelers), Jon Hamm (Fargo) and Tom Hollander (Feud: Capote vs The Swans) in his category.

This year’s Emmy’s takes place on Sunday, September 15.
