Amy Huberman has admitted that she wouldn’t be adverse to her children having a career in the spotlight.
Both Amy and her hubby Brian O’Driscoll are used to being in limelight, and wouldn’t stop her children Sadie and Billy from pursuing a career similar to theirs, if that’s what they wanted.
Speaking to Irish Tatler, Amy said, “There are pros and cons to everything, but I also think if you want to try it – try it. Don’t die wondering.”
She went on to say, “Yes, work your ass off and know that you will probably be disappointed 70% of the time, actually, 70% is probably good odds. Try it, enjoy it, try not to take it too seriously.”
Amy also mentioned how difficult it can be when you’re left disappointed in certain aspects of you career, but you have to move on from it. Advice we’re sure she’ll be telling her kids later in their life.
“What you have to tell yourself in those situations is that no one owes you anything. The universe doesn’t owe you anything. Yes, there is disappointment, but you get hardened to it. The secret is to find a way that you are hardened to it, but not cynical about it,” she said.
